About This Project

A comprehensive food delivery platform built from scratch. Features include real-time order tracking using WebSockets, restaurant dashboard for managing menus and orders, customer app with cart and payment integration, and an admin panel for platform management.

The Challenge

Build a real-time food delivery platform that handles concurrent orders from multiple restaurants with live location tracking and seamless payment processing.

The Solution

Implemented Django Channels for WebSocket connections enabling real-time order updates, Redis for pub/sub messaging, React for a responsive customer and restaurant frontend, and PostgreSQL with PostGIS for geospatial delivery zone queries. Integrated Razorpay for payment processing with webhook-based order confirmation.

Results

40% faster delivery coordination compared to manual systems, 4.8 star average rating from early users, successfully handled 500+ concurrent orders in load testing, and achieved 99.5% payment success rate.
